Grinding of Forged Parts

FINISHING SPECIALIST:

Surface quality is a central requirement for many of our clients. To meet these demands, we offer local grinding, whitening (no burn zones), defect depth grinding, and finishes with roughness below 6.3 Ra.

To achieve this, we develop comprehensive finishing solutions (from roughing to finishing) for the softest to the hardest grades and across all formats.

For your project development, we support you in the elaboration, engineering, design, and implementation of the most suitable solution for your environment and objectives.

GRINDING SERVICES (From Roughing to Finishing) :

• Applicable to all shapes: rounds, billets, electrodes, ingots, slabs, plates, octagons, forged parts, flats, squares, etc.
• Compatible with all materials: Inconel, stainless steel, steel, titanium, superalloys.

We provide local grinding, whitening (no burn zones), defect depth grinding, and finishes achieving roughness below 6.3 Ra.

We offer skin cleaning for electrode preparation before remelting, between rolling processes, or defect removal after forging, achieving high-quality finishing grinding suitable for Ultrasonic Testing (UT).

We conduct tests in our own finishing workshops to develop solutions adapted to specific environments and customer constraints.

Our facilities in Guérigny (58) are equipped with combined filtration systems for explosive atmospheres (ATEX).

CAPABILITIES:

From rough grinding to finishing grinding (Ra <6.3).
Our new workshop is equipped to perform grinding on all types of parts weighing up to 32 tons (maximum crane capacity).

Our grinding services are performed semi-automatically or automatically for the following materials:

• Steel, stainless steel, titanium, superalloys, Inconel.
• Maximum part length: 14 m
• Maximum product width: 2600 mm
• Maximum grinding thickness: 1000 mm
• For round shapes, maximum diameter: 1000 mm

We ensure the availability of grinding consumables (from grain 6 to grain 36).
